The Association of Internet Researchers annual conference is a cornucopia of presentations on all things related to primarily the social, political, cultural and communicative aspects of life online. Last year’s conference took place in Copenhagen, with yours truly serving as the local chair, which meant that sadly I didnt get to see a lot of presentations. However, now I have the possibility to catch up with some of the best of them: a special issue of the journal of Information, Communication & Society has just come out, containing a special issue introduction by the editors and 8 papers originally presented at the conference.
Oh, and if you wonder: Internet Research 10.0 takes place in Milwaukee (WI, USA) in October 2009. I will be there too, presenting a paper on status updates as storytelling.
