I'm Gabriel
...and somehow I'm not surprised ;).
![]() Gabriel. You're most like the ArchAngel of Communication, in charge of things like telephones, libraries, internet, and the 411 phone menu. You're organised and are not shy about inflicting that organisation on others. Which ArchAngel are you most like? brought to you by Quizilla 22.7.05
The Visa Quest
I´m back from my holidays as of tuesday this week, had planned to blog, but next to catching up with various more or less here-and-now deadlines (right now for instance, I should be finishing an article on EverQuest), I am finding myself pretty busy fulfilling all the small subquests needed before I can go to the US Embassy in Copenhagen next week and hopefully be approved for a non-permanent research visitor visa to the US. Subquesting so far has included tracking down a specific banque on Østerbro to pay the visa acquisition fee, finding out how online payment of the SERVIS fee works, almost breaking down in tears while trying to find a functioning, non-automated phonenumber for the international FedEx hotline because FedEx treatened to returned the magical DS-2019 form to the US, acquiring and copying all my travel plans, obtaining letters declaring that I'm financially independent, filling out forms to prove that I am NOT good at producing chemical weapons etc. There is no doubt that in this case the visa is definitely equal to the grand epic quest item, no easy drops here ;).
I'm leaving for US on August 8th and will be back in Denmark again (permanently) in late November. So generally there is quite a lot of practical stuff to take care of before I leave, so dont expect much blogging before I have set foot in the US. Looking much forward to that I am. It seems completely unimaginable that in the near future I will have 5 days a week available just for research. Meanwhile my brilliant research assistant has completed and posted two reports on our Danish Election Blog findings, you can find them on our Walgblog site (in Danish only). |
