Bloghome at www.klastrup.dk

This is the research diary of researcher Lisbeth Klastrup, since february 2001 sharing her thoughts on life, universe, persistent online worlds, games, interactive stories and internet oddities with you on the www.

I am currently on leave from the IT University of Copenhagen, and from aug. 2006 - aug. 2007 working as Associate Research Professor at the Center for Design Research Copenhagen, an independant center situated at the School of Architecture. During this year, I will be working on a book about the development of aesthetics, design and interaction on the WWW, together with colleague Ida Engholm.

My blog often reflects how busy I am in general, so posting may be pretty irregular, as well as my potential response to comments. But I read them!

A 21st century purchase!
Hehe.
With the help of X at the supportchat function on the Telmore.dk website, I just bought my first 3G mobile phone (a sony ericsson k600i). They launched their 3G service on a test basis this monday and "only" offers it to 1000 customers, so I definitely feel like an early adopter this time around. It's the first time I've done an online purchase with the help of a supportchat-support-person - it's like being on messenger with someone you can just ask semi-rude questions without all the niceties of normal social interaction(in principle), that's kind of fun ;).

After my k750i broke down (coke+water+hairdryer+water+hairdryer treatment didnt become it), I have really missed moblogging - somewhat of a surprise to me. I think it is because I like to be able to communicate pictures of moments rather than reflections on trends and communication, - and with no expectation of clever thoughts to accompany them.

Now I just need to find someone else who uses 3G, then it'll be real fun!
