Cross-Media Storytelling Blog
Christy Dena has started a blog Cross-Media Storytelling and so far she is working her way through some of the relevant ph.d. works on the subject out there, including yours truly's. She is doing a "Masters of Creative Arts by Research" at the University of Melbourne, who - from what I have seen so far - seems to be a brilliant place to be if you want to do combined research and art.

Thanks for posting my site. And yes, I am reading up on a few PhDs in the area since I'm also currently about to convert to PhD. I'm enjoying your thesis and look forward to reading your upcoming paper.

And on the practice/thesis thread -- my creative work is lagging behind at the mo (ideas are bubbling but their manifestation is not). However, the two are feeding each other rather well, indeed pushing each other: I'm forced to think about how I'm going to execute ideas and at the same time forced to come up with approaches to effects I want to achieve. And of course your situatedness in virtual worlds whilst writing your thesis would of offered many grounded(!) insights. An ethnographer with a keyboard rather than a clipboard... |
