AAAAARGH! Stuck in Bergen Airport
The conference (what I heard of it) has been great and the compagny of the Bergen/Norway people I know and got to know pleasant as always, but right now I'm STUPIDLY stuck in Bergen Airport because the SAS personel at Kastrup Airport is on strike. I was supposed to catch a flight at 12.00 - but were on arrival (after waiting in a queue in front of the SAS ticket counter for more than an hour and a half) rescheduled for 20.00 tonight with no guarantee that the plane will actually take of - if the strike continues, Im stuck in Bergen until tomorrow, which might not have bothered me so much if it wasn't for the fact that Im flying out to Tokyo on monday and have tons of stuff to day in Copenhagen before I leave.
On top of the waiting, Bergen Airport's internet connection computers have all been removed for repair...so thank God for the wireless network, which I can use at a price of NKR 129 for 4 hours (and I am so gonna charge SAS for this expense). So now writing/mailing/blogging from the HANSA cafe's most traficked corner, the only place in the entire building which provides access to an electrical socket, so my laptop can get some juice. Back in Copenhagen, I was supposed to meet up with 3 students 20 min ago. And the academic officer. And the head of research. I think I have managed to get hold of most of them, but nevertheless GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Comments:
Ugh! What a horrid experience - and Bergen Airport really isn't meant for people having to wait for hours... I'm glad that the 8 pm plane got you home, anyhow, and hope your weekend's not too extra stressed out.
